We are looking for Learning Support and Care Assistant to work with college students who have mild to moderate learning difficulties. You will be getting stuck into all sorts of agricultural activities such as Floristry, Animal Management and Garden Design, so get your wellies ready! Your students will also need to be shown the life skills they will need for when they leave Education to join the world of work.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained
An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Be able to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-Have an understanding of health and safety implications
-Be self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
