Salary: GBP25,000 - 27,000 per annum

The Role
An exciting opportunity to join one of the leading private histopathology providers in the UK to oversee and advise on project based and operational compliance, including risk management review, audit, and to manage internal reporting.
The role covers a number of diverse tasks and is responsive to the challenges and demands of the modern healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, including effective time management, the ability to prioritise work appropriately and to work towards given deadlines.
Previous experience of governance and risk management, and a good understanding of the healthcare sector, are essential. This includes a good understanding of ISO 9001 'quality management'.
There may be potential to become involved with other strategic projects within our team providing opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge.
General Responsibilities
?? Ensure operational activities are consistent with compliance obligations at all times. Provide advice to staff at all levels to ensure requirements are understood and complied with
?? Design and implement audit processes to ensure compliance
?? Report to senior management in all areas of compliance on a regular and, where needed, on an ad-hoc basis
?? Assist with periodical assessments from CQC, ICO, UKAS, as well as private organisations
?? Maintain and develop company's commitment to the NHS DSP Toolkit
?? Lead in new required certifications and accreditations and instruct the relevant company's employees where change is needed
?? Help contract manager(s) ensure contractual commitments are met
?? Maintain and update records including, but not limited to, the Policy Register, Information Asset Register (IAR) and Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)
Clinical Responsibilities
?? MDMs:
- Set-out guidelines for criteria of inclusion from the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath)
- Liaise with relevant pathologists in the design of company's MDM outcome proformas
- Manage the archives of MDM outcome forms
?? Update company's processes and client proformas for changes in RCPath reporting guidelines
?? Ensure that records of all work/material sent outside the office are tracked and ensure location records maintained with a rapid location query capability ?? Manage Company's (reporting) Pathology validation ensuring that all evidence is received and recorded
Pathology image scanning and reporting:
- Review of the reporting pathologist self-certification (reporting digitally)
- Corroboration of scanned image with glass slide
- Retention and storage of scanned images and retrieval of
?? Incident investigation policy definition and on-going incident investigation and recording
