Due to expansion, we are seeking a Technical Support Advisor to work as part of the team at our offices based in Farnborough. The role is responsible for providing key aftermarket technical support to our customers throughout the UK in the electrical and manufacturing sector.

We are ideally seeking individuals who have some experience within an electrical, engineering or mechanical technical role however, we are open to look at individuals who have recently completed relevant qualifications looking for a career role. We will also consider individuals who are currently working in an electrical assembly role on the shop floor, looking to move into an office based role.

This role is based at our UK headquarters in Farnborough and will be a fundamental part of the team that helps shape our product experience, and works closely with R&D, service and sales teams.

You would work as part of international brand that has been established since 1970 and who are a leading manufacturer who are well respected. The Technical Support Advisor is critical in providing the best service to our customers, engineers and agents. As part of a team, you will take responsibility for spare part sales orders within the UK and Customer Technical Documents as well as dealing with technical support queries, once product training develops. The function of this role is to provide all round support from technical support at all levels, to correctly identifying spare parts and recommending where required the additional service of an engineer to fit the parts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Technical support / call handling function to customers, agents, engineers
Provide telephone support to field service engineers and provide supporting information (e.g. drawings) where required.
Provide technical support to end customers, agents and distributors on the phone and via email.
To provide spare part sales capability
To ensure all customer requests are handled professionally and in a timely manner
Responsible for all administration surrounding aftermarket sales in a timely manner. This is including Customer quotations, order processing, PV's and Sensitivity reports.
To be successful for the opportunity of Technical Support Advisor you will need to have the following:

Ability to manage own workload and drive results
Capable of digesting complex technical information
Excellent attention to detail
Good general communication skills - able to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to work as part of a team
UK Driving Licence
Good electrical skills
Machinery manufacturing experience - preferred but not essential
