Our clients are looking to recruit an additional Teacher of Science to work at the school with their key stage 3 and key stage 4 groups from January 2020 or earlier and are looking to recruit staff who are looking for part time hours on flexible short term contracts. These posts would suit those wishing for potentially more permanent positions or those not wishing to commit to full time posts who want more flexibility fitting around personal circumstances.

This post is open to experienced Teachers and NQT's.

THE CANDIDATE: The Teacher of Science post is open to dedicated and passionate NQTs and experienced teachers who are keen to join a dynamic, innovative and popular department within the school and we welcome applications for part-time working, hours can be flexible subject to agreement. You will also need to live within commutable distance to Wallasey (Liverpool), Merseyside.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Teacher of Science role :-
  • Relevant teaching experience either whilst training or in post
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for Science, KS3 & 4 Schemes of work
  • Ability to teach GCSE and experience of Assessment for Learning strategies essential
  • An understanding of the strategies required to motivate, engage and inspire students
  • Excellent organisational, planning and IT skills will be required
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures in relation to children and young people
  • A positive attitude to raising standards and contributing to the departmental and whole school extra-curricular programme is essential
  • Must live within commutable distance to Wallasey (Liverpool), Merseyside
