The opportunity The Health & Insurance Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE)is a team which actively supports over 50 countries in their strategic sourcing activities related to their insurable benefit programs (USD $725M spend). The team is looking for a team member to help manage the spend in the network it has built and help drive its category strategy.
The CoE actively gathers, develops, shares, and applies subject matter expertise (SME) to insurable benefit programs (e.g. medical, life, disability, accident) and other health related solutions (e.g. wellbeing). Its purpose is to drive best value for the organization through sharing SME, setting strategy, and driving execution.
The CoE commits to deliver best value expressed in both brand and quantitative value. On the SME & strategy side, the CoEs main objective is to provide access to in-depth knowledge on best practices and industry trends to make better decisions (whilst considering local application).
On the execution side, the CoEs main objective is to bring the right resource to the right transaction and support transactions based on set support levels for local member firms (i.e. fully owned, high, medium, or low). Whilst doing so, the CoE responds to stakeholders increasingly seeking expertise from Procurement, developments in the supplier market, and opportunity new solutions and technologies provide.
You will report to the Health & Insurance CoE co-leader and will be supporting the CoE leader on activities related to SME & strategy and execution, ensure alignment on support levels with regional leaders and local sourcing professionals, and execute projects across the world (initial focus on LATAM, middle east, and other countries in EMEIA) within the Health & Insurance space based on its category strategy.

Your key responsibilities
- You are expected to actively contribute to the delivery against the category strategy plan by amongst others providing stakeholders with in-depth cost containment measures to manage the costs of their insurable benefit plans, helping drive a wellbeing agenda, and developing strategic supplier relationships.
- You are responsible for gathering, developing, and sharing category expertise across the world in different forms and through different platforms to elevate the wider Procurement team (including the maintenance of a dedicated global SharePoint site).
- You will actively gather expertise and participate in relevant industry discussions to identify and apply best practices and innovative solutions.
- You will understand if the market provides opportunities for "start-ups" to complement the Talent functional processes.
- You will drive SRM strategies with strategic suppliers and have review meetings with key suppliers throughout contract life to maximize the value of current interactions and to uncover and implement new opportunities.
- You will work closely with stakeholders and business leaders to continuously identify opportunities and win-wins for the organization within the category.
- You are responsible for maintaining and managing a global pipeline of renewals in close collaboration with stakeholders.
- You will play a key role in managing EY's global broker program to ensure disciplined processes are ran and results are reported to the various stakeholders.
- You will work collaboratively with Talent teams, Procurement teams, and broker teams to deliver projects in the regions.
- You will execute end-to-end strategic sourcing activities in accordance with the Procurement policy and provide excellence throughout the process analyzing information, setting sourcing strategies, identifying requirements and opportunity, negotiating terms and conditions, and contracting products and/or services based on set support levels (including full ownership of projects in complex areas with spend under management up to 50M USD)
- You will ensure alignment on support levels with regional Leaders and local sourcing professionals.
- You will act as trusted business advisor leveraging your, the teams', and the brokers' expertise to drive best value (brand value and quantitative value).
- You will be responsible for driving further value out of EY's multinational pooling program by rationalizing spend to maximize returns - a complex task given the organization's structure.
- You will drive results and set a high bar for yourself and others whilst providing accurate reporting on brand value and quantitative value achieved.
Skills and attributes for success
- To qualify for the role you must have:
- Strong experience in Procurement in a collaborative, high-performance environment and experience with the category.
- Strong Procurement expertise and proven track record of setting strategies, leading complex Procurement projects, driving negotiations, and implementing SRM initiatives.
- Strong business acumen in order to drive results and ability to link business needs to sourcing strategies.
- Effective decision-making skills that increase the speed and efficiency of processes.
- High levels of EQ and cultural awareness to build relationships, align efforts, and effectively influence.

- Business degree or equivalent.
- CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or equivalent Procurement certification.

- Flexible to travel on occasion for stakeholder, supplier, and Procurement team meetings.
- Experience working in a global organization is preferred.
