The Assistant Procurement Manager will be accountable for the day to day operational management of the Procurement function, its service level performance and customer service. They will champion their categories and suppliers, providing specialist advice to internal and external customers.

Supporting senior buyers and category managers in their tender process.
Understanding and communicating with the Procurement Manager the needs of the business and of the department.
The responsibility of line managing 1 contracts officer.
Deliver cost-savings within your category through effective tenders and negotiation.

Be motivated to lead.
Demonstrate effective negotiation techniques.
Be able to work with and influence stakeholders.
Be confident using IT applications.
