Maths Academic Mentor (Graduate Role) - Chelmsford, Essex

Are you an aspiring Maths Teacher, but would first like to gain further school experience? Do you currently hold a minimum 2.2 in your degree? Do you have prior experience working in an educational setting or in small groups with younger people?

We are looking to meet with a highly academic Maths Graduate to support this schools established Maths Department.

• Maths Academic Mentor
• Chelmsford, Essex
• Full-Time, Long-Term Maths Academic Mentor position
• GBP65-GBP88 per day as a Maths Academic Mentor
• You must hold a 2.2 or higher classification in your degree
• Maths Academic Mentor role could lead into Teacher Training from September 2020

This Maths Academic Mentor role will see the successful applicant joining a passionate department, and supporting the teaching and learning across KS3, KS4 and KS5. The school have identified several students across various key stages who may need extra motivation or support, so they are looking for a Maths Academic Mentor to support these students where and when necessary. This Maths Academic Mentor vacancy will see the hired graduate work with these students, both on a 1:1 basis and in group intervention sessions to improve their attainment and progress.

To be successful, you will need to be a passionate Maths Academic Mentor who can demonstrate the skills to provide their students with a comprehensive understanding of all areas of their subject. The ideal Maths Academic Mentor will be a sociable individual with the drive and desire to become a Secondary Teacher in the future.
