Are you hard working, resilient, calm, responsible, quick thinking, willing to learn and with a good sense of humour?
If this is you, we could offer you a role, which is very rewarding in a supportive school environment.
Cann Bridge School caters for children with severe learning difficulties from three to nineteen years and we require two full time Grade C teaching assistants additional to our current workforce to support our very special children. The posts are initially temporary until the end of the academic year.
One post is in the Post 16 Part of the School, Post Bridge College, and the second is in a mixed KS1/2 class group. Both posts will be working with a skilled team under the direction of an experienced teacher. The practice in the school is of a high standard delivering good and outstanding outcomes for the pupils.
Experience of early development, knowledge of children with learning difficulties, experience of complex behaviour and autistic spectrum conditions and an appropriate qualification at Level 2 are required; you will need to demonstrate this in your application and at interview.
Applicants will need to be calm, patient, with a good sense of humour, and willing to undertake any training necessary.
The role involves working with vulnerable children and adults and so all applicants will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
