Families for Children (FFC) is the largest Voluntary Adoption Agency (VAA) in the South-West. In the last 2 years we have developed our services to provide adoption and adoption support services across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset. FFC also has several contracts to provide adoption-related services to Local Authorities and Regional Adoption Agencies within the region.
The adoption sector has undergone significant policy changes over the last few years. Adoption is an important option for children who are not able to live with their birth parents. Families for Children has a long history of finding families for children, including sibling groups and children who are deemed harder to place due to their age, disability or ethnicity. All children deserve a safe, secure and stable home to grow up in.
We are now seeking to recruit a highly experienced senior adoption manager with the ability to provide operational leadership and motivation to the staff team, maintain the delivery of services to the highest possible standards and take a key role in strategic and business planning to ensure the stability and continuity of the charity.
You will deputise for the CEO when on annual leave. You will be joining us at an exciting time developing new service provisions and looking at how we can diversify and build upon the skills, expertise and knowledge of our staff offering greater support to meet the needs of adopters, and other families, who can benefit from our approaches.
The successful applicant will need to have a proven track record in managing adoption and adoption support services, negotiating and managing contracts and achieving excellence in service delivery.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Further information and our application forms can be found on the FFC website – https://familiesforchildren.org.uk/working-with-us/
