We are now seeking an Activity Co-ordinator to join our team in Wiltshire to work with Mill Race Community Support Service and support activities for those with learning disabilities and autism.
This initial 12 month contract is offered on a part time basis working 26 hours per week and has the potential to extend to two years.

This is the ideal role for an individual with a QCS Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or similar) to take on an engaging role supporting adults who need assistance with an exciting range of activities.
You’ll be playing a vital role in service users’ lives ensuring they have the skills they need whilst you build a career to be proud of.
Our office in Calne is a hive of enthusiastic, dedicated professionals all working towards the same goal of providing outstanding support and services to people with learning difficulties and autism.
Your Role
As an Activity Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for promoting independence and choice for adults with learning disabilities or autism through a range of engaging activities.
Researching and implementing activities, you will support service users to get involved and take trips within the local community and beyond.
Additionally, you will:
- Encourage and promote an environment of mutual respect and peer confidentiality
- Play an active role in safeguarding activities
- Remain alert and aware of issues and incidents concerning service users
- Ensure you actively participate in staff meetings, appraisals and training
- Support and assist service users to maintain their health and hygiene
- Collate payments
About You
To be considered as an Activity Co-ordinator, you will need:
- A QCS level 3 in Health and Social Care, or a suitable qualification in education/health or support care or equivalent life skills/experience
- The ability to set up and run activities for adults with learning disabilities and autism
- IT skills
Some experience, either paid or voluntary, of working with adults or children with a learning disability and/or autism would be advantageous, however this is not essential.
Other organisations may call this role SEND Activities Co-ordinator, Project Assistant, Activities Assistant, Support Assistant, Social Care Assistant, Health and Social Care Assistant, Care Assistant, or Adult Social Care Assistant.
This is a part time role, working 26 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
The closing date for this role is the 29th November 2019 with interviews scheduled to be held on the 9th December 2019.
