The Together Trust is a charity that values and supports children, young people and adults with social emotional needs, disabilities, complex needs and autism and their families. Our services include a wide range of residential, care, community and special education services in Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. We are recruiting for an experienced community fundraiser to join our small but successful team, working with existing supporters and creating new opportunities and exciting fundraising ideas for the Together Trust.

Our passionate team are at the core of everything we do to support over 2700 people every year. Funds raised by our supporters could help us provide sleep clinics for children with autism, confidence building outdoor activities for teenagers who have experienced trauma; or new sensory equipment for young people with disabilities. We could also provide more therapeutic services and family support to help parents overcome the challenges they face on a daily basis.

Therefore, the successful candidate will be highly motivated, skilled and resourceful. You will be used to building relationships with donors with the aim of increasing support for vulnerable people who need our help.

With support from our Head of Fundraising and alongside our second Community and Events Fundraiser and other members of our passionate fundraising team you will;

  • Develop and implement a successful fundraising plan (the sky is the limit!) in line with our overall goals.
  • Build relationships with existing supporters and create new relationships with the community to secure long term engagement and support.
  • Build and steward relationships with individuals, schools, community groups, and our superstar volunteers.

At Together Trust we believe everybody deserves an equal chance in life. There are no exceptions. We provide a wide range of support services including fostering, residential, community and family support. We also provide specialist educational support through our schools and colleges.

At Together Trust we’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. It’s a commitment we require from all of our staff and volunteers.

We follow a robust safer recruitment process and all successful applicants will go through recruitment checks. If you’re successful we’ll need you to have an enhanced DBS check. For all roles we’ll also need a minimum of three references. Depending on the role you apply for, we might also need to request references from each employer where you have worked with young people or vulnerable adults.

We’ll also need to know about any breaks in your employment history with evidence from documents like birth certificates or passports. If you’re successful and have worked outside the UK for any longer than three months in the last five years, we’d also need to complete a foreign DBS or code of conduct check.

This is a Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd vacancy who are operating as an employment agency. Once you have clicked to apply for this vacancy, we will then send you more information on the role including a copy of the application form via email.
