A Leading Engineering organisation based in Lincoln requires a Commodity Manager to join their growing procurement team on a contract basis. The purpose of this role is to support the procurement team with risk analysis and profit maximisation. The Procurement Manager requires a candidate with previous experience as a Commodity Manager with knowledge of the Indirect buying space. This is a 6 month contract position with the opportunity to be ongoing.
Develops and implements efficient forms of organization and procedures in the assigned organization to continuously detect areas for rationalization and increase profitability.
Manages resources and ensures competences.
Derives innovative material field strategies based on market intelligence, gears Procurement processes towards strategic objectives.
Initiates, plans, executes and controls the demand pooling and Supplier Management to maximize the contribution to operating profit from materials.
Drives application of technical levers for sustainable cost and value optimization.
Drives Supplier Management processes to obtain best suppliers and ensure transparency and early integration.
Technical buying background would be beneficial.
CIPS qualification would be beneficial.
Strong communication skills.
Supplier management experience.
Demonstrable results in achieving a increase in profits
