Fishtek Consulting Ltd provides high quality civil engineering and fisheries consultancy services across the UK and overseas (including SE Asia and Africa). We are composed of a team of civil and structural engineers and fisheries biologists engaging with a wider network of specialists across the river environment. Our engineers are primarily focussed upon the design and construction of fish and eel passes to overcome obstructions such as dams and weirs.

Fishtek has developed a growing reputation within the industry and a portfolio of clients ranging from governmental agencies to public utilities, resulting in steady growth and expansion of the business. Fishtek has an opportunity for a motivated and technically proficient Senior Civil Engineer, who is technically minded, holds a degree in civil engineering and is preferably chartered (though not essential depending upon experience).

Principal duties will include providing technical and professional advice, carrying out engineering analyses and calculations (structural, hydraulic and soil mechanics) and preparing drawings at all project phases (from concept to detailed design), making due consideration of buildability, efficacy and health and safety in respect of river engineering works.
