Job title: Storesperson
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Overall Purpose of Job:
My client a long established, engineering/manufacturing business are seeking a Stores Person where you will have the opportunity to develop in this gold accredited Investors In People organisation.
To ensure the timely allocation of bill of materials, in order to provide a continuous supply of components to production for assembly, as prioritised by the Production Plan.

Principle Activities*:
1. Ensure that components needed by production are allocated in a suitable timeframe or as requested by the Production Planner or a Manager
2. Allocation of bills of materials for production orders, inclusive of Q number recording
3. Liaison with Goods Inwards and Inspection team regarding priority components
4. Timely communication of BOM shortages and related issues to Production Planner, including purchase order details where necessary
5. Day to day priority setting for Stores Allocator colleagues
6. Support to final allocation (of components) with a view to ultimately assuming responsibility for this activity
7. Securely storing all components into the stores area
8. Ensuring all paperwork and system logs are up to date at all times
9. Housekeeping
Desirable (D) and Essential (E) Qualifications / experience required for role:
Valid Fork Lift Truck licence (D )
Previous store room procedure experience (D)
Good level of general education (D)
Good keyboard skills (E)
