Are you a people's person seeking a part-time position? Is so I have an exciting opportunity for a HR Volunteering and Training Manager to work within a museum!

Responsibilities include:

Prepare the volunteer rota using the volunteer management system ensuring that the rota is accessible to all volunteers
Deal with last-minute changes to volunteers' availability including out of normal hours when necessary.
Review and manage the ongoing recruitment of volunteers
Co-ordinating, delivering and developing the volunteer training programme
Arrange to deliver all volunteer induction training
Deliver and monitor attendance of core training sessions currently delivered in the evening
Organise two main staff social events per year and occasional other social and staff educational events
Develop ways to reward and recognise volunteers
Supporting other staff with the supervision of volunteers and dealing with issues raised by or about volunteers PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience of working with and managing volunteers or leading others
Experience of and enthusiasm for delivering training, inducting for new team members, and supporting people with their ongoing learning needs
Understanding of the delivery of good customer care and the need for high standards to be maintained by all volunteers
An empathy with volunteers and an understanding of their needs with an ability to inspire and motivate others
Ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision
Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity to the opinions of others
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a wide range of tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people
Computer literacy including ability to use online tools and learn new software with minimal ongoing support, create/edit documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, maintain records and produce clear written and oral reports
Ability to work within a team and maintain communications where members of that team are working different flexible days and hours If you feel you have the correct skills and experience to do this role we would love to hear from you!
