Von Roll is the recognized market leader in the fields of insulation products and systems for the electrical machinery industry as well as for composite materials and parts for various industrial applications.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a CNC Setter Operator Programmer to join their Machine shop in Bradford.
Within this role, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Milling machines in the most efficient and effective way for quick and accurate production purposes. The machines that are involved are DMG, HAAS, Doosan.
You will work with the planning department on all methods and programming to achieve continuous improvement in all areas and will openly share your knowledge and experience with all other colleagues and will help, support and encourage apprentices when required.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of any of the following: HAAS, Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens and will be experienced in programming Fanuc, Siemens or similar.
The successful candidate will also be able to edit existing CAM programs to the most efficient way for production operating and will have a good understanding of Engineering Drawings.
Our ideal candidate will come from an Engineering background and will be used to working to tight tolerances. With the ability to recognize and implement improvement on existing methods, working with lean manufacturing techniques would also be an advantage.
Previous experience working to Aerospace standards would be advantageous.
Alternating shift system – 6am-2pm / 2pm – 10pm (6.30 finish when on late Fridays)
Over time: mid-week x1.5 / weekends x2
