Our client, the Fire and Rescue Service based in Lancashire is looking to recruit a part-time Democratic Services Officer to join a small Democratic Services Team providing support to Combined Fire Authority Members, Senior Fire Officers, colleagues and members of the public.

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing secretarial or administrative support and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. You will have an excellent standard of written English, be able to write clear and accurate minutes and be able to provide advice to Members and staff.

Your main duties will include administering and clerking various committees and working groups, preparing formal and informal reports and leading on specific projects.

You will be able to meet deadlines, be highly organised, flexible and proficient in IT.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: 18.5 hours per week, candidates will be expected to be available at meetings which primarily take place in the mornings, which are programmed in advance and occur monthly.  There is flexibility in relation to the other working hours subject to agreement in advance with the line manager, flexitime working arrangements.

The closing date is 12 noon, 6 December 2019 with the interviews being held w/c 16 December 2019.
