You must be able to part-program/edit jobs
Main Duties:
Programming using FANUC controls, Autodesk Feature CAM and of various CNC machine tools to produce turned components to tight tolerances and creating process documentation.
Editing programmes using Cimco Edit software
Ensuring all programmes are available for each machine as per the production plan
Checking completed programs by running simulations or tests to determine the most efficient cycle times
Choosing cutting tools, fixtures and measuring equipment.
Monitoring of consignment tooling stocks, orders special tools and equipment etc.
Monitoring machine performance, including cycle times, setup times and implement action to improve utilization.
Liaising with the engineering teams; covering job requirements, specifications, challenges, tooling, work holding, machining method etc.
Supporting the Works Manager in the following areas; recruitment, training, machine planning, process development and quality control.
