Retail Store Manager
Full-Time, Permanent position – 40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to run our flagship country store in Broadway. The store concept brings together a diverse collection of quality outdoor and lifestyle brands featuring Barbour, Schöffel, Crew, White Stuff, Great Plains, Dubarry and many more. It is a unique blend of the practical and the beautiful.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of the store, driving sales through first class customer service, inspiring and developing the team to achieve company targets. You will act as a Landmark ambassador working alongside your team, leading by example, promoting our values, behaviours and creating a culture that ensures our customer is at the heart of everything we do.
You will oversee the operational and organisational standards of the store as well as all aspects of staff management.
Store Manager Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Recruit and hire staff in line with store requirement.
- Complete schedules and assign duties and responsibilities to the store staff.
- Manage staff absences and holidays. Deliver payroll.
- Deliver excellent customer service both personally and through the development of your team.
- Train new employees and maintain continuing education and training to all employees.
- Track and implement financial quotas based on the goals of the business, sales performance and promote company policy and procedure. Use technology to record sales figures, analyse data and forward plan.
- Facilitate strong team results through effective management of individual performance and contribution to ensure efficiency and increase sales.
- Deliver high standards of visual presentation.
- Deliver and organise an efficient back of house operation within the stock rooms and office.
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment with a high level of housekeeping both front and back of house.
- Effectively manage security and loss prevention.
- Act as a brand Ambassador for the company promoting our values and behaviours at all times and ensuring the same behaviours in your team.
Store Manager Qualifications / Skills
- Previous retail management experience preferably within outdoors or clothing.
- Excellent communication skills
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- ‘Think on your feet’ - the ability to work well within the varying facets of a large retail store.
- Be able to read and understand data.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and confident.
