Position: Supply Teacher
Key stage: EYFS- KS2
Location: Southend
Start date: ASAP

Athona Education has long-standing working relationships with some lovely primary schools across Southend. Due to an increase in demand from our schools, we are urgently seeking teachers for supply teaching work to start immediately.

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT), supply work is a great way to fine-tune your teaching skills whilst showcasing your skills to prospective schools for permanent opportunities in the future and deciding which schools are right for you. Supply work offers flexible employment, where you can work when you choose.

Types of Roles:

Supply work can take on many forms, from day-to-day cover to short-term cover for a few days at a time. We have roles that sometimes become extended to last a few weeks if covering sickness.

You will need to have a flexible attitude, have good classroom management and have excellent organisational skills, with a can-do approach and be ready for anything! In order to maximise work opportunities, we ask that teachers be prepared to travel up to an hour and to be ready to work with a wide range of year groups. However, we will always try to meet your needs and requirements as closely as possible.

What to do next:

If you are looking for flexible work and supply teaching sounds like an option for you, please contact me as soon as possible.

Not right for you but you know a teacher perfect for the job? If you refer a qualified teacher to us, who goes on to work for Athona, we will pay you a GBP250 referral fee as a thank-you. This is just one of the many roles that we are currently helping schools with. Please get in touch to discuss other opportunities which may be of interest to you.

When you work with Athona you get:

  • Competitive rates of pay
  • Professional support from your dedicated experienced consultant
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Access to vacancies at some of the best schools in London
  • Ongoing career advice from a dedicated consultant
