Payroll Assistant

The Logistics People are a recruitment agency who have been trading for 5 years and have seen massive growth placing over 6000 shifts per week, our growth plans for 2020 are extensive again. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable business.

As an Payroll Assistant, you must have great organisation, prioritisation and time management skills, as well as a focussed and committed approach. You should also have a professional telephone manner and be able to work well under their own initiative. Experience of all Microsoft Office programmes is desired however advanced knowledge in excel is essential.

Key Accountabilities:

Collection of online timesheets from PAYE workers and Limited Company contractors.
Reconciling worker hours with customer costings whilst liasing with other departments in the business.
Finalising gross pay ready for submission including expenses etc. (Outsourced PAYE)(Self-billing invoices for contractors).
Checking all RTW documentation is held and fully compliant.
Dealing with all pay queries and processing accordingly.
Creating multiple performance reports for senior management team.
Skills Requires:

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programmes
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft excel is essential
The ability to manage your own workload
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Preparation of reports
Excellent attention to detail
Flexibility and enthusiasm
To enjoy working as part of a team
An ability to plan ahead
Good literacy skills


Working Hours

Mon - 08:00 to 17:30
Tue - 08:00 to 17:00
Wed - 08:00 to 17:00
Thu - 08:00 to 17:00
Fri - 08:00 to 16:30
1 in every 6 weeks you are required to work a Sunday however a day in lieu is given on the following Friday. All bank holidays are working days.
