Youth Dance Internships
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester.
Salary: Unpaid internship.
Contract: 30-week placement*, worked over 2 days per week, starting January 2020.
The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world's most exciting culture and media destinations.
As the Youth Dance Intern you will support the Learning & Engagement team to deliver and promote the youth dance provision of their Talent Development work at The Lowry, while building upon your knowledge and skills of working within a professional dance role. You will develop content for marketing campaigns and digital channels, as well as assist and lead on the planning, coordination, administration and evaluation of activity surrounding U.Dance NW 2020 the regional youth dance festival and The Lowry Centre for Advanced Training in Dance's regional outreach and recruitment work.
Enthusiasm for the arts and specifically youth dance is essential, as is knowledge of the youth dance sector in the North West and the National Frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering projects/ events for young people and have an interest in the advocacy of dance.
