Job Title: Pay and Reward Specialist
Location: Dudley
Salary (pro rata): GBP35,734.51 to GBP39,295.31
Hours per week: 37.5
Rethink Mental Illness is a national charity that helps support those affected by mental illness. We aim to challenge attitudes and change lives. Currently, we directly support almost 60,000 people every year across England, helping them through crises, to live independently and to realise they are not alone.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pay and Reward Specialist to join our team based in Dudley. The role will involve working closely with the Head of Pay and Reward to review our existing pay and reward methodology, managing the project on a day to day basis. This is a fast-paced role and we are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm, who enjoys a challenge.
Key activities and responsibilities:
* Managing the project on a day to day basis, scoping out the work involved, ensuring there is a robust communications and implementation plan.
* Working closely with colleagues in HR Operations to ensure that employee contract changes are handled with care and in-line with legislation.
* Conducting external benchmarking on the pay and benefits for existing, new and specialist roles.
* Researching external networks to recommend benefits solutions and providers to support the success of the project.
* Establishing a new job evaluation tool for future roles, ensuring that pay and benefits are determined fairly and consistently across the organisation.
* Confidently extracting and analysing existing pay data to inform decisions
* Working closely with finance to model any future pay structures, ensuring the proposals are sustainable and the impact of any change is well understood.
Required skills and experience:
* Proactive approach with the ability to fully understand the nature of the project and identify priorities
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent team working skills
* Experience of working with highly confidential information
* Strong written and oral communication skills
What we offer:
* 33 days annual leave including statutory/bank holiday (incrementally rising to 38 after 5 years)
* Life assurance
* Excellent career development and learning opportunities
* Contributory pension scheme
We are passionate about creating a diverse workforce and positively encourage applications from under-represented communities
