A privately-owned technology business designing and manufacturing a range of scientific instrumentation are looking for an Electronics & Software Engineer to join their growing R&D team near Epsom. Their products are used for research by some of the world's most innovative scientific organisations.
Key responsibilities of the Electronics & Software Engineer job:
*Electronics and PCB design from specification through to development stages
*Develop the embedded code from initial specification stages, through to design and testing
*Provide input into technical review meetings
*Manage full life-cycle development of new and existing products
*Test and validate new developments and improvements
Key skills required for the Electronics & Software Engineer job:
*Proven experience in embedded development and electronic design
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills which support custom algorithm and downhole communication protocol design
*Practical knowledge of interfacing techniques and communication
*Strong embedded C programming skills
The Electronics & Software Engineer must be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary R&D team - they are working with STM32 microcontrollers so any previous experience of these micros would be beneficial but not essential.
