The role of Personal Development Coach is to provide emotional and practical support, advice and information to the residents of this Charity, towards the goal of achieving employment. The post-holder should ensure that residents experience exceptional service and support and that it is a positive place for young people to belong, contribute and thrive.
You will be instrumental in guiding residents to engage in meaningful employment related activity. Through strong rapport, mentoring and coaching, the post holder will enthuse and motivate residents to explore their individual interests. You will also ensure the residents receive the appropriate support to enhance their wellbeing.
Responsible for developing relationships with employers, training providers and other external organisations to create opportunities for unemployed residents of this Charity. Work and support other staff, volunteers and other organisations to ensure that the activities and opportunities are provided to residents that will develop their confidence, self-esteem and motivational levels.
It is essential that you have previous experience of mentoring young people, experience of supporting and understanding of mental health in young people. Knowledge of the employment sector, with a Life Coach/NLP Practitioner qualification or a relevant qualification in social care, mental health, coaching and mentoring.
