As Records Manager, it will be up to you to ensure our records management processes & procedures are fully compliant with legislative requirements including GDPR. You will work in collaboration with managers and teams across the Company and with the Council’s IT service to develop effective records management systems.
Ensuring a customer focused approach is adopted in all aspects of the service and that the needs of customers are met, you will identify improved ways of working, deliver training courses on best practice and develop a records management improvement programme.
What we need from you
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about and understands how effective records management impacts customer experience. We’re also looking for:
- A degree level qualification OR with a strong knowledge gained through work experience
- Experience of developing and implementing effective records management systems, policies and procedures
- Great training skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills

The role is based in central Barnsley, with excellent transport links from the M1 and Barnsley train station.
