THE COMPANY: My client is a hugely successful community organisation that supports health & wellbeing, social action, participation and inclusion programmes and education attainment within Doncaster.

This is a new, exciting role within the organisation and will offer someone an opportunity to shape the fundraising strategy for the organisation.

The role is open to flexible working and is easily commutable from the M18.

THE JOB: This role will take the lead in developing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy aligned with strategic priorities and lead all fundraising activities within the organisation ensuring that agreed strategic objectives are delivered efficiently and effectively, and that a sound system of administration and governance surrounds all fundraising income.

Other responsibilities will be:

To develop and manage a fundraising budget, setting targets and objectives, and monitoring fundraising performance across all areas of activity, ensuring that the ROI is acceptable and taking necessary steps to deliver overall net income annually, in line with agreed targets.
Report directly to the CEO on target setting, delivery, performance & progress
Build a high profile for fundraising within the organisation, ensuring that there is a high level of confidence and support throughout.
Identify new innovative methods of fundraising and income generation that will inspire people to donate and support the charity
Monitor fundraising performance across all areas of activity and deliver annual income to agreed targets.
Chair the newly emerging fundraising steering group
Ensure the highest standards of donor stewardship through robust management within the Foundation in terms of database management, systems to acknowledge donations
Develop regular giving from one-off donations by introducing stronger donor relationship options.THE PERSON: To be successful for this role you will have experience working within the charity sector in a fundraising capacity, be confident, self-aware and an excellent communicator, who can work using their own initiative.

You will also be able to demonstrate passion and commitment to fundraising and the cause, as well as show drive, tenacity and enthusiasm for income generation and the ability to build lasting working relationships.

You will have working knowledge regulation and legal obligations surrounding charities and ideally have had liaison with regulators and professional membership organisations previously.

Ideally you will have a specialist Fundraising, and/or Marketing qualification (Cert IoF or DiM or equivalent) and significant proven experience in fundraising with evidence of generating significant levels of philanthropic income of all types is essential

Financial literacy, including grasp of strategic finances and budgeting, able to work accurately when drafting budgets, communications or plans, and keep accurate and professional fundraising records, being familiar with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and database applications are all essential.

Ability to broker agreements across organisational boundaries to deliver agreed plans and processes
