Multi Trade Carpenter
Gloucestershire
Salary: £26,291.10
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week
Centigen is a Gloucestershire-based facilities management company, providing invaluable services such as grounds and building maintenance and commercial cleaning to clients across the South West.
We are a subsidiary of Two Rivers Housing – a charity which provides nearly 4,000 homes for low-cost rent and supports activities and amenities across communities in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. All surplus income generated by Centigen is gifted back to Two Rivers, allowing staff to continue their work for the benefit of future generations.
As a social enterprise business, we combine the best of the private and charitable sectors: a commercial drive for quality, value, efficiency and customer satisfaction, with strong ethics, caring values and financial security.
We are currently seeking a Multi-Trade Carpenter to provide an efficient responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment service on housing stock.
You will cover all aspects of carpentry including kitchen, bathroom, soffit/fascia, door replacement, UPVC replacement, multi point locking mechanisms, lock changes etc. Further to this you will work within agreed objectives and time scales to meet performance criteria.
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant carpentry qualification, in addition to demonstrable practical skills in building repair, maintenance and refurbishment to domestic properties, particularly in social housing.
You will attend and participate in Health and Safety training provided by Two Rivers and have the ability to challenge and report unsafe working practices. It’s also important that you can deal sensitively with a wide variety of customers and provide an individual service.
Due to the nature of the role you are required to have a valid driving licence and have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
We reserve the right to close this role earlier than the published date should a suitable candidate be identified.
You will enjoy flexible working arrangements in a friendly, modern office environment in a stunning part of the country. There’s also a comprehensive package of employee benefits which includes pension options, health cashback plan, competitive holiday entitlement, sickness benefit and more. They welcome applications from all sections of the communities we work in. Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
