Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent Senior Buyer / Sourcing Leader based near Wellington, Somerset. You will be joining a market leading global Electronics Manufacturer at an exciting time of growth, working from state of the art purpose built offices.
The working hours are 8.45am - 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45.am - 3.00pm Friday. The annual salary is GBP25,000 - GBP28,500 PA dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
2. Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
3. Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
4. Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
5. Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
6. Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
7. Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
8. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
9. Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
10. Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
11. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
12. Responsible for the planning, execution, quality and deliverables of the sourcing plan within budget to timescales defined by the Operations Manager.
13. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
14. Effectively communicate sourcing expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
15. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
16. Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
17. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
18. Track sourcing milestones and deliverables.
19. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the sourcing activity, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas.
20. Conduct post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project sourcing elements.
21. Develop best practice and tools for sourcing execution and management.
22. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve sourcing goals.
23. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
24. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or resources to meet sourcing requirements.
25. Identify and resolve issues conflicts within the sourcing environment.
26. Identify and manage sourcing dependencies and critical paths.
27. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
Experience, attributes & skills sought:
* Ideally from an electronics background
* Experience in Buying/Procurement at a senior level
* Qualified in Buying/Procurement e.g. CIPS
