Maintenance Engineer (Heating and Plumbing)

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £22,034 - £23,346 (potentially more for an exceptional candidate)

Contract: Permanent

The Estates Department’s mission within Exeter College is to create and maintain safe, accessible and comfortable physical environments, provide quality resources, facilities and services for all learners, staff and visitors.

In this role you would be responsible for maintaining high quality heating and plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance to M&E Plant and Building Fabric. Playing a key role in planning and completing a range of routine maintenance works associated with heating and plumbing and electrical engineering, you will also complete proactive inspections and remedial repairs.

You will have previous experience of working in a multi skilled maintenance role, particularly in relation to heating and plumbing maintenance.  You will also have experience of fault finding in various heating and plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems as well as qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Commercial / Industrial Heating and Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, etc.

You will be a good team player with excellent problem solving and organisational skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.  Good communication skills and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders at all levels is essential.
