Newent, Gloucester
Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)
Would you like to help dispel the myths that surround social housing? If so, we might have just the thing…
We’re looking for a Communications Manager who will use their PR and marketing skills to continue raising our profile and sharing our story with staff, tenants, partners and the wider community.
Two Rivers Housing is a not-for-profit organisation committed to ‘creating great homes and supporting communities’. We have an exciting building programme, a developing digital strategy, refreshed corporate values and growing brands with their own distinctive identities – on top of the usual wide range of day-to-day communications challenges.
This is a big role in a small team. On one hand, you need to be an experienced communications professional – a strategic thinker who can plan for the medium to long-term and confidently advise Board members and directors on communications and reputation matters.
On the other hand, you will be a skilled and flexible multi-tasker, happy to deliver the usual mix of daily comms tasks across multiple channels. You will be writing engaging content, talking to the press, organising events, taking photos, posting to our website and social media, as well as managing the work of a Communications Officer.
There’s no question it’s a full-on role but, if you thrive on being busy, you love mixing hands-on creativity with deeper thinking and you share our charitable and community values, this offers more variety and job satisfaction than you could wish for.
You will enjoy flexible working arrangements in a friendly, modern office environment in a stunning part of the country. There’s also a comprehensive package of employee benefits which includes pension options, health cashback plan, competitive holiday entitlement, sickness benefit and more. They welcome applications from all sections of the communities we work in. Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
