Established for over 45 years, this award winning, market leading Construction Group, are one of the largest family owned construction companies in the UK, are looking to strengthen their team with an experienced and qualified Project Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to lead and manage all commercial aspects of the final fit-out phase on a major £80million residential construction project.

PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYING / PROJECT SURVEYING - LONDON

LOCATION: Based at this prestigious site in the London Borough of Ealing, just 3 minutes from the tube station and easy access to M40, M25, M1.  You could be a Project Quantity Surveyor living within easy access of West London, Acton, Ealing, Harrow, Uxbridge, Brent Cross, Southall, Wembley, Hammersmith, Hounslow, Slough, Barnet until the anticipated project completion date of July 2020. 

Most the company’s key projects are in Central London, East London, North London, South London, so you could be a Project Quantity Surveyor living in London, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Kent and willing to commute to London.

SALARY:  £55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits, substantial project bonus, pension, healthcare, travel allowance, 32 days holiday.

HOURS:  Permanent, Full time Mon - Fri, 40-hour week.

Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor (MQS), your primary objective as Project Quantity Surveyor, will be to manage this project through to completion.   Day to day duties and responsibilities include:

* Submitting and agreeing monthly applications with the client commercial project team.

* Assessment and pricing of variations, CVI’s and contract instructions.

* Completion of remaining subcontractor procurement and works package orders.

* Management of sub-contact valuations, payments and final accounts.

* Preparing cost value reconciliation & commercial reports for the MQS/Construction Director.

* Training and mentoring the project Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

* Ensuring company procedures, protocols and policies are being adhered to.

Working on further projects typically ranging up to £100M, you will be an integral part of the business, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. 

Your Quantity Surveying background will be in Project Surveying within the Building / Construction Industry, specifically apartment blocks / residential schemes / student accommodation or similar.

You will be highly experienced and familiar with Design and Build (D&B) contracts. You will have a Degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying and preferably a member of the RICS.

A dynamic, project focussed Quantity Surveyor who works well under pressure, fully proficient in commercial management, excellent organisational and forward planning skills, as well as strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

Your background will be in Surveying, possibly as a Project Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Cost Manager or Commercial Manager.
