Our client is currently looking for a Site SHEQ (Process Safety) Manager to join the Operations function to manage the Newton Aycliffe site’s Process Safety systems within a Top Tier COMAH manufacturing environment.

 

With a continuous improvement mindset, you will take responsibility for the SHE, Security Management, COMAH and Contractor safety ensuring they are kept fully up to date and compliant with internal and external policies and legislation. You will support and advise line managers in the implementation of systems, identifying any improvements that can be made, and manage the security operations in safeguarding people and property on-site.

 

This role would suit a degree educated Engineer with health and safety management experience in a Top Tier COMAH manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have relevant chartered membership / qualification in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental fields including NEBOSH / IOSH. You will have experience developing H&S policies and training programmes along with the ability to develop and maintain COMAH safety reports. You will be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the gravitas to challenge current working practices in a practical and engaging way.
