Electronics Design Engineer

We are Qioptiq and we design and manufacture photonic products and solutions that serve a wide range of markets and applications such as medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defence and aerospace, and research and development.
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you'll enjoy an autonomous role and be responsible for the design of complex electronic systems, modules and sub-assemblies.
Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Specifying and verifying hardware, software and firmware requirements
* Developing original and innovative intelligent vision solutions
* Ensuring technical compliance and technical risk management of designs
* Producing system design specifications and engineering reports
* Liaising with suppliers and third party providers to ensure that a technically robust approach is taken to product development
* Providing support to production to enable on time delivery of production orders
* Identifying new electronic technologies to support future business requirements
What will I need to be considered for this Electronics Design Engineer vacancy?
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field such as electronic engineering, software engineering or computer science
* Knowledge and experience of imaging systems and image processing
* Hands on experience within an electronics design environment, defining requirements for electronics in relation to new products
* Ability to work to tight deadlines effectively
