An excellent opportunity has been made available for an Income Recovery Officer with my client an established housing provider on an initial full time (37 hours per week), three month contract with the view to an extension.
The pay rate for this role is GBP15.00 PAYE Or GBP19.50 Umbrella LTD.
As an an Income officer, you will be responsible for rent arrears control and recovery, including service of Notice of Seeking Possession and attendance at County Court when required.
You will have responsibility for managing accounts where Universal Credit is in payment or where the tenant is potentially a 'qualifying' claimant. Take action to prevent arrears accruing including prompt application for 'managed payments' (direct payment to landlord) and timely application for 'arrears direct' from DWP at 'trigger points.
As an Income Officer, you will be required to proactively identify 'vulnerable' claimants and prospective claimants, with aim of seeking early 'managed payments' (direct payment of rent) to landlord from Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Part of your role will be to assist customers in making claims for Universal Credit where this is necessary. Ensure tenants are provided with, or appropriately signposted to welfare and/or income maximization advice.
Furthermore, you will be liaising with local authority/DWP as households undergo phased move to Universal Credit
Essential: Court level experience is essential.
Full UK Drivers License and access to a vehicle is required.
Desirable: Working knowledge of the RentSense Housing software system.
