Full Time - 37 hours per week

 

Our client is an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

 

One of the largest landlords in the North West, they have 1,500 staff, manage more than 40,000 homes, support around than 64,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.

 

The post will work within a small in-house legal team and report to the Property Solicitor. The purpose of the post will be to collate information on properties owned by the group, circa 38,000 properties. The project will also involve working with various stakeholders such as finance and development teams internally.

 

Whilst knowledge of the land register is desirable training will be provided and key qualities of a successful candidate would be a self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

 

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Undertake Land Registry enquiries and deal with property and land ownership enquiries/issues.
  • Obtaining land Registry records and associated documents referred to in the register.
  • Preparation of development scheme packs for new build pre and post stock transfer on legacy and newly acquired land.
  • Working closely with members of staff across the heartlands and external agencies to coordinate and compile a definitive title pack to assess suitability of charge to financial lenders.  

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have adequate overall experience of land and property matters.
  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of Land Registry facilities and systems.
  • Preferably have experience within the housing association sector.
  • High level organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to engage with staff, peers, tenants and external partners to build relationships based on honesty, trust, mutual respect and integrity to inspire confidence and respect.
