Plumbing and Gas Technician

An opportunity exists for a Plumbing and Gas Technician to join our client and play a role in realising their vision of being a dynamic career college.

This is an exciting time to join the College Group where a £24 million package of works is proposed to regenerate the Stockport Campus.

They are looking for an experienced Plumbing and Gas Technician to provide full plumbing and gas services across the college campus which includes, but is not exclusive to, the installation, maintenance/servicing and repair of all water supply, storage and heating systems along with college heating & ventilation systems.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Attending leaks and drainage blockages as required and implement a repair.
• Maintaining/servicing all water heaters and heating plant as required in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and statutory regulations.
• Installing new equipment as requested e.g. sanitary fixtures/fittings, radiators, sinks etc. and associated pipework.
• Liaising with utility suppliers as required (water & gas) e.g. meter reading and meter changes to minimise supply disruption.
• Responding to breakdowns on kitchen equipment (subject to possessing the necessary qualification).

In order to be considered for this position you must have a Level 2 numeracy and literacy qualification (or equivalent), a relevant Level 3 qualification in plumbing and a Gas Safe registration.
