A large independent manufacturing company located in Ipswich, Suffolk are seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join their team.
This is a permanent position which is offering a competitive salary.

This firm have been established for a quarter of a century, have a headcount of nearly 50 staff and a turnover of GBP8 million are still expanding. They design, develop and build ancillary systems plus much more.
What does the role entail?
PLC / HMI Programming Implementation of Control & Software Systems & Associated Equipment
Support continued improvement and Maintain Control Systems - including PLC's & HMI's Involvement in Design & Development of new Control Systems
Upgrading of Existing Equipment & Integration with new Automation / Controls
Development of Functional, Detailed and Software Design Specifications from User Requirement
Production of Electrical and Pneumatic circuit diagrams.
Carry out Factory Acceptance testing, Site Acceptance testing & on-site commissioning
Applicant Requirements:
Software design & PLC software experience (nidec drives, control techniques)
3+ years' experience in Control Systems design / PLC's / HMI's.
HNC / HND qualification within engineering (ideally software engineering)
Ability to write programs
Experience in motion control systems
Must be able to convert verbal, written, and other media-based information into project documentation
fantastic computer skills.
