This is an excellent career opportunity for a qualified HR generalist professional with a background in manufacturing companies on an upward curve in their career and looking for the opportunity to make an impact upon a business.  Our client is a privately owned significant employer on a steep organic growth curve operating from multiple unionised sites. It is a market leading SME with an excellent reputation for its brand. 

Reporting to Head of HR and forming part of a small group of HR professionals, this generalist role includes all aspects of HR from training and development, recruitment, retention, compensation and benefits, employee and union relations, employee communications, HR systems and the legal framework.  A key driver will be provide a generalist day to day operational service to all managers and key employees in the company and you will be offered lots of scope to make  a difference through a broad spectrum of change management initiatives. Graduate and CIPD qualified you will have trained and built your skills in high quality recognised manufacturing environments in which the utilisation of lean world-class tools and techniques is the norm. You will be comfortable working in a business which has union representation and be looking to develop your career in a high growth environment such as this. You will need at least 5 years generalist HR experience and your key strengths will be in talent acquisition, training and development, HR systems and the legal framework and you will combine this with robust business support and a “can-do” attitude. You will also be involved in setting a framework of HR systems that enable and support the growth agenda.  The company operates through a hands-on “can-do” culture with a strong work ethic, it is very commercially focused and you will need to identify with this.
