Clerk to the Corporation

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week, with a willingness to work flexible hours as the workload is variable and will include some evening work on occasion.

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Salary: The salary for this post will be within the range 33-35 of the pay spine for Support Staff, which is currently £26,593.00 – 28,371.00 pa (reduced pro rata to £14,406.61 - £15,368.65 pa in accordance with the term time only contract). 

Greenhead College is an outstandingly successful Sixth Form College with 2500 16-19 year old students following advanced level courses. The College has a long history of exceptional examination results and sits near the top of the national sixth-form college performance tables, meaning it is one of the very best in the country. Since 1999 the College has been a Beacon College and a ‘Centre of Excellence’. There is a very happy and supportive atmosphere; staff and students are mutually positive about education, which is major factor in the College’s ongoing success.

The College wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clerk to the Corporation to support the work of our Governing Body in the strategic management of the College and continually strive to improve our procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising the Governing Body on procedural issues, legal responsibilities and constitutional matters, and must be familiar with Microsoft Office packages.
