Our client is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is fast on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2018. Based across the county on 4 main campuses. The College offers an extensive range of courses at all levels and has ambitious plans for growth in a region with exciting potential.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to join the Construction and Built Environment department, based at the Trowbridge campus.

Within this role you will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment; ensuring students reach their maximum potential. You will prepare schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans, contribute to the wide enrichment of students including supporting pastoral needs and you will ensure resource material and teaching reflect best practice contributing to the quality of provision as measured by retention, attendance, success rates, grades and value added.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery qualification and have substantial experience in the industry. You will also hold a teaching qualification or through our staff development programme be willing to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
