About the role 

We are currently looking for a GP Development and Support Worker to join GreenSquare on a permanent basis to provide on-going training for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic violence and abuse.

Within the role, you will promote awareness of the experience and needs of victims living with or escaping DVA particularly in relation to their health while developing a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team. 

You will assess risks relating to individual clients carrying out Risk Assessments in line with procedure and develop risk management plans as required and make referrals into the main GDASS service or give immediate safety advice.


About you 

It is essential that you have practical training and substantial experience of working with vulnerable people and of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.

You will also have the ability to deliver training to other professionals and maintain a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of vulnerable adults and children.

A detailed understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles is essential for this role along with the ability and experience to challenge other professionals in a non -confrontational way while committing to providing high quality professional services and customer care.
