About the role

Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Technician Training Manager.

You will manage and co-ordinate the Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) Marine Engineering (ME) and Weapon Engineering (WE) Technicians during their Task book training phases at the Ship Repair Facility (SRF) Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Design, develop and implement RSNF ME and WE Technician individual specialisation Task Book training plans.
Manage the planning, monitoring and recording of the individual 'on job training schemes' of the technicians working closely with the SRF nominated RSNF Officers and BAE Systems Saudi Arabia workshop staff to ensure training compliance and training milestones are met.
Provide project and technician reports during the technicians period of task book training
Attend KSA Training Working Group (KSATWG) meetings as required.
To provide mentoring (pastoral) support to the technicians during their SRF 'on job' training phase
Carry out Technician Task Book amendments as required
Provide a Training Co-ordination role (training and discipline) in support of the Technicians
Chair and co-ordinate Phase 3 Task Book Training Meetings, providing minutes and distributing as necessary.What do I need to do the role?

You'll need technical appreciation of Naval Training and the Sandown Class environment, able to write Technical documents and reports, have knowledge of ME & WE Technician task book training schemes and have experience of monitoring "On Job" training, have knowledge of Training Design and have experience in Foreign Navies Training and have a working knowledge of Foreign customers & cultures.

What else do I need to know?

All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
The role will initially be based at HM Collingwood until at least the end of March 2020; at which point, it will then transition and be in position on the King Abdul Aziz Naval base (in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by May 2020 latest. About Babcock International
