41 hours per week. Term-time-only (38 weeks per year plus 5 days training totalling 39 weeks per year)*
*You will also be required to commit to working an additional two weeks during short term break periods if required, for which additional payment will be made.
Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland in Broadstairs. We seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. We have achieved national recognition for our developments in Communication and Behaviour Management as well as having been awarded the Gold standard for the Investors in People accreditation.
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the residential unit where a named student, who has been identified as requiring additional support, resides during out-of-school hours. The duties will not be confined solely to the named student but also involve working with other students in the residential unit.
The hours for this post include split shifts, some starts from 7.30am, some finishes at 10.00pm and weekend work.
No formal qualifications or experience are necessary for this post, but you will be required to commit to achieving Residential Childcare QCF Level 3 within 2 years of beginning employment at the school.
