Head of Risk & Compliance

As one of Vodafone strategic partners, we are currently recruiting a Head of Risk & Compliance to be based in Paddington on a maternity cover. The role purpose will be to lead the Group Risk & Compliance teams in developing and running the frameworks for effectively managing risk and compliance throughout the Vodafone group.

Core Competencies Knowledge and Experience

  • Confident, resilient, independent-minded, objective, comfortable asserting themselves with senior/executive leaders
  • Strong technical risk management knowledge (desired 10 years + experience) and proven ability designing and developing practical risk management processes and frameworks &/or
  • Strong experience in leading and managing Compliance programmes in complex multi-national organisations, understanding the need to balance a rigorous and comprehensive programme that meets US Sentencing Guidelines requirements with the commercial and financial needs of the organisation
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen and understanding
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience planning and facilitating engaging workshops/risk & compliance exercises with senior level audiences
  • Understanding of risk and scenario modelling techniques and familiarity with common risk analysis techniques
  • Understanding of anti-bribery laws, economic sanctions and trade controls laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to simplify complex processes
  • Strong project management skills with proven experience at successfully delivering substantial process and change management programmes
  • Desired - broad knowledge and experience of operational activity and processes in the mobile + fixed telecommunications industry, with experience of those in a global operator
