Research Manager
You will join us to provide maternity cover for the role of Development Manager: Research and Insight. This role is critical to ensuring that GreaterSport is the 'thought leader' locally on physical activity research, insight and evaluation specifically with relation to the inactive cohorts.
Research Manager Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyse and interpret a range of data and information for GreaterSport and external partners to understand trends and needs in physical activity.
- Develop primary research to help address gaps in the evidence, data and insight.
- Provide knowledge, insight and connections to help influence, support and develop the 12 shared priorities of GM Moving.
- Keep up to date with developments in research methodology, economic and statistical data.
- Use GreaterSport's CRM system, ThankQ, to ensure effective communication.
Research Manager Requirements:
- Degree in either Economics, Statistics, Business Management, Psychology or Sociology.
- Data collection and analysis.
- Project Management.
- Using IT for data analysis and presentation.
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, statistics and the collection, analysis and use of data.
- Understanding of local and national datasets and socioeconomic data.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Competent use of Excel and other relevant programmes for statistical analysis.
