The company
A position has arisen for a Technical Information Officer working for a dynamic food business which manufactures innovative, high end products. They work with their customers to develop a great tasting product range and have a great reputation for supply of retailer brand, working very closely with leading retail multiples and food manufacturers.
The job
Your role as Technical Information Officer will be to provide technical support to the company by liaising regularly with both suppliers and customers on technical requirements.
With a good understanding of current legislative requirements, you will ensure the company always complies with the industry standards, assist the NPD team with the trial and development of new products, ensure new products comply to customer requirements, nutrition and shelf life, compile and update finished product specifications for retailer and B2B customers, support complaint investigations and attend customer visits as required.
Your experience
You will have solid technical experience from within the food manufacturing industry together with working knowledge of finished product specifications (including retailer), food labelling requirements and ideally be conversant with up to date food legislation.
You will also possess knowledge of microbiology and preferably be HACCP and Food Safety qualified. A UK driving licence is preferred.
