Gate Porter £24,328 per annum plus additional benefits

Trinity College is seeking to appoint a reliable and responsible person to provide support to the Porter’s Lodge.  The post holder will be involved with the security and support services throughout the College site.  Duties will include patrolling the grounds which involves climbing stairs, walking considerable distances and standing for periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather as well as assisting with fire and health and safety, first aid, dealing with emergencies and guiding visitors.

We are looking for a positive well-presented person who enjoys being part of team, is self-motivated, and has excellent communication skills. A knowledge of health and safety is desirable and candidates should already hold the recognised Security Industry Authority qualification or attend and successfully complete training to achieve this qualification. 

Hours of work average 39 per week and are worked on a shift pattern which includes night and weekend working.  A full uniform is provided.

Salary: £24,328 p.a. on an incremental scale to a maximum of £27,733 p.a. plus an attractive benefits package.
