SHEQ Officer

Penderyn Distillery 

We are looking for a SHEQ Officer to join our team.
You will be expected to oversee health, safety and quality policies for all sites, liaise with company directors and management to implement new practices that will help the business. 

Previous experience in a manufacturing / process environment is essential (preferably food / drink).

Job Elements:

Maintain and continue to improve the Health and Safety and Quality Management System. Monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure a safe workplace without risk to health. Drive the quality agenda and maintain/ develop appropriate work processes. Investigation of accidents and incidents, and the implementation of any corrective and preventative actions advised. Liaise as necessary with other organisations and relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.

Carrying out Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Audits. Champion the
Safety, Health and Quality program for the Company, embedding a proactive and engaged culture. 

The ideal candidate will have:

A good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations. Previous experience in a Health and Safety role in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent. Experience of working in a quality Environment and making changes happen. Strong people skills,  ability to engage at all organisational levels. Highly organised with strong administration skills. Excellent computer skills, minimum MS Office. Driving licence, willing to undertake infrequent business travel.
