Electronics Design Engineer - Salary GBP40k - Oxford

An Electronics Design Engineer (Continuous Improvement) is required by a medical device company in Oxford that is at the forefront of creating technologies capable of changing the world for the better.

Role overview

The role will be helping to improve and solidify current electronic board design. The successful candidate will be heavily involved with the ongoing improvement and development of future revisions of the product. As part of a small team, The Electronics Design Engineer (Continuous Improvement) will play a pivotal part in the ongoing design & development of the product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and improvement of electronic boards (PCBs)
• To liaise with suppliers, ensuring that there is a focus on the quality and manufacturability
• To oversee the electronic testing processes with a focus on continuous improvement
• Successful integration of the newly designed electronic boards into a system

Required qualifications and experience

• MSc / MEng Electronics Engineering
• 2+ years of electronic board design
• Experience of dealing with suppliers and their manufacturing capabilities
• Board design that has been integrated into other hardware and other processing boards

Desired qualifications and experience

• Physics background (A-Level or similar)
• Experience of EAGLE electronic design automation (EDA) or similar
